My First Caymus Vineyards Experience

When my wife and I were new to wine and not familiar with the importance of reservations for wine tasting in Napa, we showed up at the winery on our anniversary to taste some wine and maybe buy a bottle to sit and drink.
We were greeted in the parking lot by an employee who asked us if we had an appointment for a tasting. Of course, I told him no, and then asked him if we could just purchase a bottle and sit on the property and drink it. To my surprise, the employee explained that they did not have a license for us to buy a bottle to drink on the premises.
Disappointed, my wife and I decided to just walk in and buy a wine to use for our anniversary celebration. We selected a Caymus Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon (pictured above) that we enjoyed as we celebrated our anniversary years later.
